Former charity employee charged with embezzlement, fraud

A former employee of a charity that helps disabled New Mexicans is accused of stealing thousands of dollars.

Santa Fe County deputies arrested Michelle Lucero on Wednesday. They say she admitted to cashing checks stolen from Easter Seals, totaling $11,000.

Lucero faces embezzlement and fraud charges.
