Man arrested for attempted sexual assault, Santa Fe police say Web Staff

SANTA FE, N.M. -- A Santa Fe man is charged with trying to sexually assault a woman on a busy street.


Police say 33-year-old Francisco Arellano allegedly had a few drinks with the victim. According to the Santa Fe New Mexican, he pushed the woman up against a wall once they were a few blocks away and tried to take her pants off.

Witnesses provided information to police who quickly arrived on scene, and the woman was not injured.

Brass knuckles, a knife, and drug paraphernalia were found on the suspect.
