Hobbs police investigating man found dead with gunshot wounds

HOBBS, N.M. – Hobbs Police Department officials say officers are investigating after a man was found with gunshot wounds when they responded to “an unknown problem” on North Selman Street Tuesday evening.

45-year-old Daniel Torres was found dead when police arrived at the residence, officials say.

They are asking that anyone with information contact HPD at 575-397-9265, Lea County Crime Stoppers at 575-393-8005 or to reach out to HPD via Facebook.
