ROSWELL, N.M. – State Police say alcohol does appear to be a factor in a deadly motorcycle crash in Roswell over the weekend.

It happened just before 10 p.m. on Sunday on Zinnia Road near Red Bridge Road.

Police say 52-year-old James Wooddell was driving a motorcycle east on Zinnia Road when veered off of the street and crashed.

It’s not clear why he left the roadway, but Wooddell sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
