LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- Minimum wage workers in New Mexico's second largest city have to wait one more year before seeing a raise.

The Las Cruces City Council voted Monday not to allow a cost of living increase on Jan. 1. The city's minimum wage will stay at $9.20 per hour until 2019 when it goes up to $10.10.

For tipped workers, the minimum wage remains at $3.36 per hour. In 2019, it increases to $4.04.
