Roswell police arrest man suspected of shooting another man

ROSWELL, N.M. -- Roswell police said a man accused of shooting another man on May 27 was arrested in Roswell Friday night.

An officer saw the suspect entering an apartment around 7 p.m., officials said. The suspect tried to flee, but was quickly apprehended.

The suspect is being charged with aggravated battery with bond set at $10,000. He is also charged with marijuana possession under 1 ounce, with bond at $500.

The victim was taken to a hospital, and his current condition is not available.
