Silver Alert issued in Deming for missing 83-year-old Web Staff

DEMING, N.M. -- New Mexico State Police on Friday issued a Silver Alert for an 83-year-old man reported missing in Deming.


State police say Leland Zane Stovall was last seen around 8:30 a.m. Thursday leaving the Butterfield Hotel in a blue 2005 Ford SUV. That vehicle had Texas license plate 3JCVJ. He could be headed to Las Vegas, New Mexico or Post, Texas, and NMSP officials say he could be in danger if not found.

Stovall is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. He has gray hair and green eyes, and he was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with an orange logo.
