SANTA FE, N.M. -- Ski Santa Fe has pushed back its opening, meaning it won't open until Dec. 9.

Crews had hoped to welcome folks this weekend. Some people in Santa Fe aren't too concerned, though.

"Once those high-pressure ridges build in, you know, sometimes it takes a minute to get rid of them," said Chip Storm, the owner of Ski Tech Santa Fe. "But if we get into a storm track, it just takes a couple of storms to really get all of the mountains around here going."

Storm said he's had a lot of folks coming into his ski shop chatting about these unseasonably warm temperatures, but they are still getting their gear ready for when they can finally hit the slopes.
