According to the Santa Fe New Mexican 55,867 people attended the event. This was an increase over the 48,500 from last year’s event.

Even with such a large number of people, police say there were no major problems during Zozobra.

The amount of money brought in this year for Kiwanis has not been announced yet, but last year Kiwanis was able to build a new playground for the Santa Fe Boys and Girls club.
