ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Voters on Tuesday will determine who they want to lead the City of Albuquerque when they head to the polls for the mayoral runoff election.

Voters will choose between Dan Lewis and Tim Keller after they whittled down the field of eight to two candidates in last month's election. Neither Keller nor Lewis reached the 50-percent threshold needed to avoid the runoff, prompting the second round of voting.

Crime emerged as a key issue. KOB-TV chronicled Albuquerque's crime epidemic this past summer in an ongoing series called #abq4ward. KOB also hosted a debate between Lewis and Keller last week.

Former candidate Gus Pedrotty will join KOB on Election Night as a special guest. He recently talked about his experiences with KOB's Chris Ramirez. He also discussed how Albuquerque prioritizes its public safety.

In addition to the mayoral runoff, two candidates are vying for the City Council District 5 seat, the position which Lewis is vacating. The candidates are Robert Aragon and Cynthia Borrego.

The city clerk's office said 57,572 people voted early while the office received 2,799 absentee votes.

The polling locations today will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. For mobile users, click here to see a map of the sites.
