Urlacher was a two-time All-American at the University of New Mexico. The Lovington High School grad also led the nation in tackles his junior year. He developed into a top 10 NFL draft pick.

He was inducted alongside the likes of Peyton Manning, Marshall Faulk and Steve Spurrier. Urlacher only had one scholarship offer out of high school, and that was to play for the Lobos.

"I wasn't thinking about going anywhere beyond college, honestly," he said. "Just to get there and have a chance to get my school paid for and play four years of football was a huge opportunity for me. No one from my hometown really got that opportunity, so it was amazing for me to get a chance to go there. And then to have the success I did, I never saw that coming."

Urlacher is also a semifinalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. That class will be announced in February at the Super Bowl.
