ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- It's a short week for the University of New Mexico football team.

The Lobos leave for Boise, Idaho, on Wednesday where they'll take on the Broncos on the blue turf. The game is Thursday night on ESPN.

Both teams are coming off Week two losses. Both teams have fewer days to prepare for the competition, but head coach Bob Davie said you have to play the Broncos some time and it might as well be now.

"Two more days of practice isn't going to make us on an even playing field with them anyhow, quite honestly," he said. "We're going to go in there as the underdog and try and play our butt off, and two more days isn't going to change the landscape a whole lot if we're perfectly honest."
