LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- The New Mexico State football team is on the road this week at winless Georgia Southern.

The Aggies are 2-4 on the year, and head coach Doug Martin can pinpoint one aspect of their game that needs improving. NMSU needs to close out games.

Last week at Appalachian State, they gave up 28 points in the fourth quarter, including the final 21 points of the game.

"With everything that happened -- getting to the hotel at 4 a.m., turnovers, long snapper snapping the ball when he's not supposed to -- we still had a seven-point lead with nine minutes left," Martin said. "So right there our defense needs to go out and get a stop and then our offense needs to score again."
