ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- The University of New Mexico women's basketball team will host Texas Tech on Wednesday night.

The Lobos are going for their best start in program history. UNM already won the first nine games of the season.

The Lobos received votes in this week's Associated Press poll and Tuesday earned points in the USA Today poll, leaving them just three spots out of the top 25.

But 10 in a row is going to be a tall order against a big Texas Tech squad.

"They start 6-6, 6-5, 6-4 inside. They'll play them all together," UNM coach Mike Bradbury said. "They got an All-American guard in Caldwell. We got our hands full. We've got to figure out a way to guard them and, more importantly, figure out a way to rebound."
