Former New Mexico State assistant Marc Hsu is joining Weir in Albuquerque. Hsu also had coaching stops at Cal State Bakersfield, Binghampton and Oregon State.

Hsu was with Weir as NMSU won 28 games last season, including 20 straight.

"Marc is one of the best young recruiters in the country," Weir said. "I watched him build a championship team at Bakersfield and then he helped form one of the best mid-major recruiting classes in the country this past year at New Mexico State. He is a tireless worker and I have no doubt he will do some amazing things for us as a Lobo."

UNM assistant coach Alan Huss is moving on to take a job at Creighton. Huss is a 2002 graduate of Creighton and spent the last three seasons as an assistant under former Lobo coach Craig Neal

Meanwhile, New Mexico State's Jermaine Haley announced he is leaving the Aggies to play somewhere else. The redshirt sophomore from Canada played in 31 games last season, averaging more than 21 minutes a night. He scored 121 points during the season.
