The new deal keeps Martin in Las Cruces through the 2020 season. His annual salary of $364,000 a year stays the same.

Martin took over in 2013. They only won three games last season, but they're 2-2 so far this year. The Aggies are at Arkansas on Saturday

"When Vicki and I came back here from Boston College, we came back here for a reason -- that we had a vision to build a football program here and not go for a quick fix but do it the right way, recruiting high school, developing players," he said. "And we've done that."
