ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- The University of New Mexico men's basketball team is home Tuesday night against Boise State.

This year, head coach Paul Weir had to deal with a suspension of Troy Simons, as well as Sam Logwood deciding he wanted to leave then opting to stay. KOB asked Weir if there were chemistry concerns with this squad. Weir said right now it's terrific.

"I don't think chemistry has ever really been an issue. It might have been more those other factors -- me, the newness of everything, the losing, coming together and maybe creating some bad situations. But I don't think anyone here is a bad person," he said. "I don't think anyone doesn't want to win or doesn't want to do what's right for the team. It just took a little time for us to get there. Now we're there. We just have to bottle this and see how long we can ride it for."
