ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- The University of New Mexico football team will be on national television Thursday night when the Lobos face the Broncos at Boise State.

The game will be broadcast on primetime East Coast time on ESPN, or 6 p.m. Mountain Time. Head coach Bob Davie is appreciative of the exposure, but they have to compete for people to take notice.

"It's great exposure for the program," Davie said. "But just like there were 32,000 fans here Saturday night, if you don't take advantage of that exposure. I don't know that you really move forward."

Davie has some questions to answer when he gets back to Albuquerque. A report by NMFishbowl says Davie is under investigation following allegations of player mistreatment as well as allegations about the athlete drug testing process being compromised.

UNM spokesperson Cinnamon Blair confirms there is an investigation in the athletic department but would not comment on the details or the individuals involved until the investigation is complete.

The school and Davie had no further comment.
