Bob Davie's team has taken some serious heat over the five players who took a knee during the national anthem against Air Force, and he admits it's been a distraction. As for the football end of it, Davie said the bye week couldn't have come at a better time.

"How do we play these last seven games? How do you be physically, mentally be the absolute best you can be to play these last 7-games?" he said. "We have six Mountain West Conference games and we go to College Station and play Texas A&M."
