ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- The University of New Mexico football team is home this week against Colorado State following a shutout loss at Fresno State this past weekend.

UNM head coach Bob Davie admits his team wasn't prepared for the Bulldogs and that's on him. It appears both the recent university investigation into his program along with the kneeling during the national anthem have been distractions for the head coach.

"I'm not sure I've been at my best the past couple weeks," Davie said. "There's been a lot of distractions. There's been a lot of issues. There's been a lot of talk. There's been a lot of opinion. It's all about these 12 games and being at your absolute best, starting with me."

Friday's kickoff at Dreamstyle Stadium is at 8:15 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN2.
