ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Lobos begin a big slate of conference matches this Saturday against San Diego State after a Monday night win against Oral Roberts.

The Lobos beat Oral Roberts, 82-75, and moved to 15-2 overall and 2-2 in the conference this season. Jamal Mashburn Jr. claimed 24 of the 82 points, while Morris Udeze and Josiah Allick combined for 27 points and 23 rebounds.

The win was a good bounceback for the Lobos, who have lost their last two conference matches.

“We need to have a mature bounce back from the UNLV game. I don’t think we’re playing poorly, we could’ve won Fresno, and we could’ve won UNLV. We were in both games, they made some plays, we did not, so we were able to bounce back, and have a very mature effort and we had to find a way to get a win. 15 and 2, we’re really proud of them,” Coach Richard Pitino said.

Conference play won’t let up, either. After their conference match Saturday against SDSU, they face San Jose State and Boise State, Jan. 17 and 20, respectively, at The Pit. Then, they head to Nevada for a Jan. 23 match and close out January at home against Air Force with a Jan. 27 dogfight.
