ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The City of Albuquerque wants to make it easier for people to get in and out of Balloon Fiesta Park.

City leaders want a temporary Rail Runner stop to be installed, which would drop visitors off at the field.

The city is also looking at building a "slip ramp" off I-25 to accommodate the traffic, basically moving it out of the park and directly onto the highway.

In 2018, more than 886,000 visited Balloon Fiesta and more than 4,000 cars were stuck in traffic daily.

The city is asking for money from the state, Bernalillo County and the Albuquerque City Council to complete the projects.
