ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Before this year's Balloon Fiesta says "Hasta la vista," thousands turned out to the park hoping to see one last glow.

Fortunately for them, the weather cooperated.

Despite some drivers being left stranded on Saturday morning when 10,000 parking spots filled up before the mass ascension, the day ended on a high note, punctuated by live music by country band Old Dominion and others.

"Just enjoying a good night," said visitor Pilar Bennett. "We came out for the concert; who doesn't love country music? And the glow is always nice. I haven't seen a successful one in years. So it's pretty cool the balloons are up and (it's) not too windy."

The final mass ascension is scheduled for 7 a.m. Sunday, weather permitting.
