ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — An Albuquerque doctor was killed in a house fire Friday morning.

Lovelace said Dr. James Bradley was a pulmonologist/critical care physician.

The fire began on Glen Oak NE in the Tanoan East neighborhood, near Academy and Lowell. When rescue arrived, they reported heavy flames and smoke coming from the two-story residence.

Officials said the victim was pulled from the fire. While inside, two firefighters fell through the second floor of the home when it collapsed. Both were able to exit safely, but one firefighter was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The fire was declared under control just before 8:30 a.m. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
