ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - “A Chorus Line” tells the story of aspiring actors auditioning for a hit musical.

“It goes through each of their lives and what they went through, their childhood and training to get to this point,” said cast member Orianna Hilliard.

The “show within a show” reveals the glamour and darkness of show business. With dance center stage, the case spent a good chunk of time learning and practicing choreography.

“We had about a month of rehearsals, a week of tech rehearsals in the theater and then we opened it,” Hilliard said.

Hilliard taught Erica Zucco a few moves, and Zucco says it’s a lot harder than it looks. Whether you have center stage dreams or are more comfortable in theater seats, the cast and crew hope the story will strike a chord.

“I love that it’s so timeless. You can keep going back and seeing it over and over again and relate to a new character or a different theme in the show and it’s so relatable even if you're not a dancer or performer,” Hilliard said.
