ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— KOB 4 Investigator Chris Ramirez sat down with Mayor Tim Keller to hear his take on the city’s crime crisis.

In the first two years of Mayor Keller’s term, homicides and violent crime have increased. The city saw a record-breaking 82 homicides in 2019.

Last month, KOB 4 took an in-depth look at Albuquerque’s crime crisis to find of what factors were driving violent crime. Experts say a combination of addiction issues, poverty and criminals with guns has created a recipe for deadly disaster.
