Albuquerque firefighters battle blaze, keep fire from spreading

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Albuquerque firefighters were called to a fire at a home in northeast Albuquerque Monday night.

Crews were dispatched at 11:20 p.m. to the single story home on Marquette Avenue just west of Wyoming.

When AFD arrived, units reported that the structure was fully involved.  Crews reported that the structure appeared vacant and fought the fire from a defensive position.

Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading and put the flames out.  The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
