ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The weekend began on bloody terms for the Duke City, as several Albuquerque Police investigations sprouted from three deadly shootings on Saturday and early Sunday.
All three incidents unfolded over the span of about 12 hours, resulting in three dead victims, and at least one still recovering in the hospital from her wounds.
At around 2:30 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a double shooting at the Giant gas station at San Mateo and Menaul in northeast Albuquerque. According to APD Officer Daren Deaguero, investigators believe an unidentified man shot a woman before turning the gun on himself.
That man later died from his injuries at the hospital. The female victim is still battling her wounds.
“We don’t know if it’s domestic or if these two knew each other,” Deaguero said on Saturday afternoon. “We are trying to piece everything together right now.”
Nobody was arrested in that incident, and police aren’t believed to be actively searching for another suspect.
Later in the day, sometime before 10 p.m., another person died from a shooting APD says unfolded near San Pedro and McLeod, just a few miles north of the first incident. APD Spokesperson Tanner Tixier said no suspects have been identified or arrested in connection to that shooting.

Then, sometime before 2 a.m. Sunday morning, APD says calls of “a large party” were followed by reports of gunfire at Vincent Court NW, near Olympia and 49th on the West Side.
Officers found a man with gunshot wounds when they arrived, but attempts to save him were unsuccessful and he died at the scene, Tixier said. Several witnesses were interviewed, and "a search warrant was executed on an apartment."

It’s unclear if there were other victims in that incident, and no one is believed to be in custody as of 4 a.m. Sunday.
