ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- A property owner near Central and Louisiana is fed up with crime the neighborhood.
Dante Smith said vandals and vagrants make it hard to do business in the area.
He said it's not uncommon to see needles left behind or small fires in the parking lot.
Smith hopes two things happen; mental health services become available to more people, and the city council passes a more strict loitering law.
"My thought is, they should do a city ordinance on loitering on the streets. Get rid of the loiters that go up and down the street all day long. If you sit here long enough, you will see the same person a dozen times. Just walking up and down the street, doing nothing good to society."
