APD: Charges pending in crash that killed 2 Sunday

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A fatal crash on Louisiana and Lomas Sunday evening left two dead and the driver hospitalized.
Investigators said a pickup truck smashed into a Volvo, and alcohol is suspected as a factor in the crash. Both passengers in the Volvo died later at the hospital, but the driver is now in stable condition.
"The truck right here started on fire, so me and the guy that was right near the truck. We went and pulled the guy out of the truck before it went up into flames," said a man who witnessed the crash.
Officials said a warrant was served for the blood of the driver of the truck.
Charges are pending on the results of the blood test.
