Albuquerque police investigate shooting at funeral home

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened Friday morning at the Daniels Family Mortuary on Coal near I-25. 

Police said someone went into the mortuary during funeral services and opened fire. 


One person was hit. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

UPDATE: Keon Harris, 27, surrendered to police after officers located him in southeast Albuquerque. He is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault /willful assault with a deadly weapon, shoot at/from a vehicle with injury, shoot at inhabitable building with great bodily harm, child abuse without great bodily harm 1st offense, failure to comply with conditional probation, probation violation and doing a duel.
