Woman found dead in NE Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Police were dispatched to the apartment complex at 4200 Spanish Bit NE in response to an unconscious woman Wednesday. 


The victim was identified as Nicole Robbins. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers noticed signs of trauma on Robbins' face and neck.  A full Violent Crimes call out was initiated.

Fransico Montoya, Robbins' boyfriend who called 911, admitted to strangling and beating Robbins to death.

Montoya was arrested for an open count of murder and tampering with evidence.
