APD: Suspect who fired at officers caught after hours-long standoff

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Albuquerque Police arrested a man late Thursday evening who they say shot multiple rounds at officers earlier in the day.
According to APD, officers were responding to a call of an armed man around 4:30 p.m. When they encountered the suspect near Eubank and Copper, police say he ran and shot at the officers. No officers were injured, APD says.
A perimeter was set up and a standoff ensued for about six hours until the suspect surrendered.
Police have not released the suspect's name as of early Friday morning.
