ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- Authorities from the U.S. Marshals Service, Drug Enforcement Administration, Homeland Security and the Albuquerque Police Department raided a motel Tuesday morning.
Authorities say they are looking for drugs, guns and human traffickers at the Best Choice Inn on Central near Louisiana in Albuquerque. There were around 70 DEA agents.
They got everyone out of the hotel rooms before searching the rooms.
Scott Garland with the DEA said the motel was a hotbed for crime, including the dealing of fentanyl and oxycontin.
He also said that several overdose deaths have been linked to the motel.
KOB 4's Kassi Nelson saw police arrest three people.
Garland said they had warrants out for six people they hoped to find at the motel.
Right now, it's unclear how many people were arrested total.
