Police say brothers broke into vehicles in parking lot

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Police say two 29-year-old brothers were caught red-handed breaking the law.

According to a criminal complaint, a witness spotted Jeremy and Joshua Steele casing a parking lot on Indian School near San Mateo. Joshua Steele was reportedly driving around the parking lot as his brother, Jeremy, allegedly broke into a car and stole a purse.

Police were able to catch up with them in another parking lot. The criminal complaint states the vehicle the brothers were in had been reported stolen.

The brothers face auto burglary and other charges.
