ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Balloon Fiesta isn't the only colorful festival beginning this weekend; another cultural event will be taking over Expo New Mexico.

Dragon Lights opens Friday night, bringing a bright taste of China to northeast Albuquerque. The annual event features larger-than-life Chinese lanterns illuminated by LED lights, and visitors will also be able to check out traditional Asian cuisine and art demonstrations.

If you would rather prioritize sleep for Balloon Fiesta this weekend, don't worry; Dragon Lights runs through Dec. 2.
