ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The American Postal Workers Union claims more bats have infested Albuquerque’s main post office on Broadway.

The union shared video and a picture of a bat in the post office last week.

Now, the union says the building is being sealed so the bats can find their way out, but not back in.

The union also claims an employee, who is tasked with delivering live chickens, contracted salmonella.

They say it happened because the building's ventilation isn't adequate.

The U.S. Postal Service issued a statement saying, "Postal management is not aware of an 'airborne salmonella poisoning' case involving an employee as claimed by the union. However, postal management was made aware of one incident of salmonella illness caused when an employee consumed a chicken sandwich."
