Man arrested in connection with South Valley shooting

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Bernalillo County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man in connection with a shooting Tuesday night, near Barcelona and Isleta.

BCSO charged Anthony Maribal with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Police say the victim suffered at least one gunshot wound to the torso. He was taken to the hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. BCSO says the victim is expected to recover.

Investigators have not said what led to the shooting.
