Bummed out brides await refunds from Albuquerque hotel

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Two months ago, the Ramada Inn lost power during two wedding day celebrations. The brides, who were forced out to the parking lot, are still waiting for the hotel to reconcile.
The Pascetti’s are newly-weds and are happy to be married but the memory of their wedding day remains tainted by the power outage.
"He (Pascetti's son) talks about the wedding all the time. It's kind of sad because he remembers the positive moments but then he's like ‘remember when we had to use a flashlight?’," Leandra Pascetti said.
Both brides are asking to be refunded thousands of dollars but haven't heard back from management. That is until KOB reached out to the general manager of the hotel on Friday to inquire about the refunds.
As a result, both brides received an email saying they would be refunded for the venue cost.
However, the brides want further compensation.
"I'm frustrated and disappointed because you think that they would kind of take the initiative, and be like, we need to figure this out for you. We were a paying customer," Pascetti said.
The general manager said he has done everything possible to put the incident behind them but a complicated insurance process is slowing down progress.
