ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- CNM’s prop center is getting a lot of use as the state’s film industry expands.

The warehouse, located at 1008 Coal Avenue, is full of items that can be used in TV shows and movies.

"We've rented to over 20 productions and 15 different studios," said Mark Duran, CNM's Film Resources Manager.

CNM typically rents out more than more than 30 items per production.

“First year, we had 600 items rented, second year, we'd doubled that, we are already at the number this year only six months into the fiscal year,” said Samantha Sengel, vice president of CNM.

The rental price is based on the replacement value.

Sengel believes building a relationship production companies will also help CNM students.

“Every one of those studios that wants to think about a workforce, we want to be able to provide that for them," Sengel said.
