Police investigate homicide in southeast Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Police are in southeast Albuquerque Tuesday morning investigating a homicide.


It all started with a call of a disturbance at a home on Columbia near Yale and Avenida Cesar Chavez at 2:40 a.m.

When officers arrived, they located a male who was bleeding from his torso and unresponsive. Rescue arrived on scene and reported that the man had succumbed to his injuries.

The scene was secured and homicide investigators called in. Police say a woman was detained for questioning and this remains an active investigation.
