David Clarke is a former Wisconsin sheriff who ran as a Democrat but stepped down from the job to become a spokesman for a pro-Donald Trump political action committee. He's been known to make highly controversial statements, including a time when he compared Black Lives Matter to ISIS.

According to the Santa Fe New Mexican, Clarke is scheduled to speak twice at the conference at Isleta Pueblo; once as the keynote speaker and again at a VIP dinner.

The conference will also offer classes to law enforcement from across New Mexico, including how to deal with Mexican drug cartels, white supremacists and social media use by gangs.
