Crops on Mars? A new collaboration between NASA and an NM tech company can make it a reality

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A New Mexico-based nanotechnology company is helping NASA greenhouse tech.

UbiQD is collaborating with the University of Arizona to explore the use of quantum dot technology in potentially assisting crop growth. The company says the tech would be used to make greenhouses manipulate the sunlight for optimum crop growth on the moon or even another planet.

The company already has one working greenhouse in Alcalde, New Mexico.
