Cyclist hurt in crash at Rio Grande, Bellamah Web Staff

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- A bicyclist was seriously injured in a crash with a vehicle in northeast Albuquerque.


The collision occurred at the intersection of Rio Grande Boulevard and Bellamah Avenue Monday evening. The bicyclist was taken to a hospital. APD Public Information Officer Mike Schroeder said the cyclist is in critical condition.

A witness said a blue Volkswagen compact car approached the intersection and stopped but did not look right when the bicyclist crossed Bellamah. The cyclist got hit and appeared to be seriously hurt.
