ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Eleven New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department employees have been disciplined for how they handled a case involving Teri Sanchez and James Stewart.
They are accused of prostituting their 7-year-old daughter.
The punishments for the CYFD employees included terminations, suspensions, and demotions.
CYFD is now working with law enforcement on old cases, with multiple referrals, to see if further disciplinary action or policy changes need to be made.
