ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Prosecutors are looking to revoke the conditions of release for a man they say was in the getaway car following the murder of UNM athlete Jackson Weller.
Weller was shot and killed outside of a bar in Nob Hill in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 4.
According to court documents, D'Angelo McNeal, a known associate of the murder suspect Darian Bashir, violated his conditions of release by having contact with Bashir.
Bashir is back behind bars after being taken into custody over the weekend, but prosecutors are working to get McNeal back into custody.
Court documents show Bashir and McNeal were both involved in a shooting in February in which bullets flew by the heads of Albuquerque Police officers.
Prosecutors had filed motions to detain both men pending until their trials, but the court released them both. At that time, McNeal was placed on a GPS monitor which prosecutors believe will show that he was in Nob Hill at the time of Weller's murder.
