State and federal agencies reached an agreement to build a Fisher House on the campus of the VA Medical Center in Albuquerque. The proposed facility would house veterans and their families while they receive extended care at the hospital.

There is no word on when construction will start, but a local veterans group said last November that it could be as early as October.
