ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Wealthy financier Jeffrey Epstein is accused of abusing underage girls. An accuser testified Monday that she spent time with Epstein in New Mexico.
Annie Farmer says she was 16 when she "had the misfortune" of meeting Epstein.
She says he behaved inappropriately. She declined to give details.
There have long been allegations of an underage prostitution ring involving Epstein's Zorro Ranch in Stanley, New Mexico. Epstein has pleaded not guilty to federal sex trafficking charges in New York.
As KOB 4 previously reported, New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas has spoken to alleged victims of Epstein in New Mexico. Epstein was never arrested or formally charged in New Mexico.
Epstein will be back in court in New York on Thursday, and that is when a judge is expected to set bond. Epstein's lawyers want him released on house arrest.
