ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – This weekend, a memorial to a fallen deputy that has stood for over a decade will be rededicated.

Deputy James McGrane Jr. was shot and killed by a wanted murder suspect during a 2006 traffic stop. The cross marking the site on Highway 337 in Tijeras was recently removed for road construction.

That memorial was refurbished, and will be rededicated during a ceremony at the site Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
