The students united with New Mexico youth organizers to call for an end to gun violence and to encourage people to register to vote.

More than 200 New Mexicans packed Roosevelt Park, where they met other New Mexicans concerned about gun violence.

Speakers showed a mural painted by New Mexico teens representing a tragedy caused by gun violence.

Several gun rights advocates also attended, but there were no major disruptions to the activities.
